#OTD in 1985, Reuben Anderson became the first Black judge to serve on the Mississippi Supreme Court. He began his career as a prominent civil rights attorney for the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. Anderson was instrumental in the creation of the Two Mississippi Museums and is a longtime supporter of the Mississippi Department of Archives & History. He served as a past president of the MDAH Board of Trustees and as chairman of the 2020 Commission to Redesign the Mississippi State Flag. Learn more abo
