I’m not a huge fan of syringe feeding; I greatly prefer a bottle. Both options can use the same nipple, so the primary difference aside from fluid volume is who is controlling the flow: the feeder or the eater. Syringe feeding is something I often see done as a way for the feeder to control the flow by manually drip-feeding when a kitten isn’t willingly nursing. But drip-feeding comes with huge risks of aspiration. If you absolutely must, it should be done just one drop at a time, with a swallow
